FIKA

Fika, a sustainable fashion brand for women over 30, was my first branding brief within the design Industry. I worked closely with the clients from start to finish to create their visual identity. As part of the process, I started researching ideas with the team, followed by meeting with the clients to present our findings, to get a feel for what the brand should be like and establish their brand values. Once I had an idea of these, I moved into the design phase. I began by hand drawing 30 logos which I then took a picture of and created high-quality versions within Illustrator. Using a technique i learnt at uni, i was able to use ligature in the logo, which the client loved as it looked like an arc and for them that symbolised new beginnings. I then moved on to creating the typeface, colur palette, social assets, packaging concepts and patterns. This was a huge milestone in my career as I was able to a logo that I had originally drawn on paper, now embrodied on clothing and embedded as part of their brand.
